Desperate Democrats counting on race war to defeat voter fraud fighting King Street Patriots in Harris County, TX

Babe Huggett Boots-on-the-ground reporting from Houston, TX - A disturbing and inflammatory email from the Color of Change organization is circulating within the leftist political community falsely claiming that the King Street Patriots of Harris County, TX are actively intimidating and/or preventing minorities from voting in the November 2010 elections.

The email starts off with, “This is no exaggeration — the Tea Party is trying to keep Black Texans from voting in the upcoming election.

A Houston-area Tea Party affiliate called the King Street Patriots is running a voter suppression scheme called True the Vote (TTV). It’s using race-baiting attacks to whip local conservatives into a frenzy over voter fraud,¹ launching false attacks on a voter registration group working in Black communities,² and allegedly intimidating voters at the polls³.”

It must be categorically stated here and now that the very first sentence of that email IS an exaggeration and that the second paragraph is geared to race-baiting pure and simple against the poll watchers with all sources cited in the email coming from anti-King Street Patriots articles from leftist leaning groups like Houston Diversity League and the rumor repeating Talking Points Memo . Having personally sat through several King Street Patriots’ poll watching classes and orientations, met with the accrediting Judge R. Jack Cagle, interviewed King Street Patriots themselves up to founder, Catherine Engelbrecht, True the Vote polling instructors Colleen and Alan Vera and talked to volunteer poll watchers themselves, it can be categorically stated that there is NO racism within the group despite the best efforts of Color of Change operatives to smear them as otherwise through scurrilous emails.

One thing that is never mentioned in any main stream media reports is that the True the Vote initiative developed by the King Street Patriots is nonpartisan. It is open to anyone wishing to ensure fair and free elections. That conservative and Republican Texans are the only ones, who have responded, is telling especially since the King Street Patriots have done outreach to the Democratic Party. This implies that the liberals, leftists and Texas Democrats do NOT are not interested in or want fair and free elections especially within minority communities.

Instead, the Color of Change email goes on to openly brag how their volunteers are going to get in the faces of the True the Vote trained poll watchers with Vote the Video cameras in order to catch any voter intimidation by the poll watchers. One of the ironies is that the chances of catching anything illegal done by True the Vote trained poll watchers is zero but the chances of catching Democratic Party irregularities and voter fraud is extremely high if not guaranteed.

On Sunday, October 31, a True the Vote trained poll watcher informed the King Street Patriots that she had observed a polling station open in a black community on Saturday, October 30 actively calling in and accepting voters when Houston polls are officially closed on weekends and therefore are without poll watchers. The elderly female poll watcher had coincidently been driving thorough the area on Cullen by the airport intersection but was too concerned for her safety to stop and challenge what was going on.

Would Color of Change operatives want to get a video of that particular instance of voting fraud and election rigging? Will Color of Change operatives be arrested for bringing in video cameras into polling stations when it is clearly against Texas election law?

Color of Change is a black political advocacy group responsible for bullying sponsors off the Glenn Beck show in revenge for Beck’s expose on its co-founder, Van Jones, a leftist extremist formally slated to be the Obama Administration‘s environmental czar.
