Anita MonCrief on Hannity Today to Discuss Founding of First Black Tea Party

Crispus Attucks' Death at the Boston Massacre

Anita MonCrief, infamous ACORN whistleblower and founder of this blog, will go on Sean Hannity’s radio show this afternoon in the 5 pm (eastern) time slot to discuss the founding of America’s first black Tea Party.

Named after the first person to die in the Revolutionary War, the Crispus Attucks Tea Party was founded yesterday, January 18th, 2011, at “This Is It” soul food restaurant in the heart of Houston, Texas’ 3rd ward in the 18th Congressional district.  (Read the interesting original court documents about the “Boston Massacre,” including a dramatic description of Attucks’ slaying, here.)

The district is Represented by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and was the focal point of rampant ACORN-style vote fraud and widespread voter intimidation this past November. It is thus fitting that this tea party had its inaugural meeting right down the street from Lee’s residence.

With the typical politesse and considerate attitude of conservatives — always left unreported by the press — Rep. Lee was extended an invitation to the event. And with typical leftist rudeness, Lee snubbed it.

Surprisingly, the local Fox News channel reporting on the event hastened to observe that many attendees at this founding meeting were white. Simply unbelievable. Is it not even possible to attend an event in support of the group without the information being somehow skewed by the media to suggest that it wasn’t “authentic” because white people were there???

One blogger even posted a hilarious parody of how liberals would report the event: White Tea Party Racists Attend Black Tea Party.

Well, never mind. The times they are a changin’! Yes they are, and the media is getting the message, whether they want to hear it or not. We aren’t going away.

Be sure to listen in to Anita’s description of this exciting event and how it all came to be.

I admire Anita Moncrief and her courage in stepping away from the corruption and evil of the leftists, but I can’t say I like the idea of bringing leftist identity politics to the right. Between GOProud and now this, we’re going to end up just as divided and just as screwed up as the left is. I’d love to see us all be one people instead of having to follow the left’s failed strategy of dividing people and reinforcing differences rather than letting us all be who we are and gain strength from each other, no matter our color or sexual orientation or gender.

I don’t think that reaching out to communities of people who feel ostracized from conservatives because they’re been so taken advantage of by the left is a bad idea. If we were all at square one, and the left hadn’t spent so much time manipulating these certain segments of society, be it gays, blacks, etc, we wouldn’t need these specific groups. However, it’s going to take some time and real engagement with people who might be skeptical of our ideas because of the talking points that have been fed to them for us to really forge meaningful relationships.

I agree that conservatives shouldn’t be in the business of compartmentalizing and playing on the left’s identify politics. The problem is, they’ve set the tone, and if we want to help change it, we need to engage on that level to have an impact – and then eventually move toward the ideal of a colorblind society. Thing is, we have to get our foot in the door first.

As Anita said, the tea parties have unfairly been branded as racist. If that weren’t the case, outreach like this wouldn’t be necessary. But since it’s the sad truth, we really do have to work hard to fight against it and physically show people the reality.

Anita, God Bless you for all that you do. I follow you on twitter as well. I think that your efforts in Houston are a big challenge but one that will provide a much reward. I wish that I was close to Houston and I could help there. I will be praying for you as usual.

    Anita,

Listened to you on Hannity yesterday. Entered the conversation mid-way when I turned on my radio. At first I didn’t know who you were, but I was struck by how calm, well spoken, detailed you were and how you tied all your statements to facts that people could check out for themselves.

Please keep it up. We need intelligent people like yourself to uncover the corruption on both sides. I especially like how you are calling out both parties for doing a poor job of addressing the Black community. I love that your Tea Party isn’t Republican or Democrat, but instead about giving the power back to the people.

Keep it up please and God Bless.

    Todd
